Great news, the
real work can be started. Our hopes are to disassembly our Henry J
... causing as little damage as possible. Bagging, labeling and
keeping everything organized well enough and document so we can be
successful in the reassembly. |

The disassembly plan or order of tear
down was document in Step 5. Here will document with a journal our
dismantling experience up to Step 5F. This will include removing the
battery, all of the interior, Steering wheel and column, head and tail
lights, Exterior trim, and all dash components. |

If you have any major body work to
do, do it now. Replace rusted out areas in the cab, floor and
everywhere. Once this work is done, temporary primer should be
applied to prevent rusting. Bill says it is important to have
complete body integrity and acceptable alignment of all panels before
going on to Step 7. |

As we are more into restoration /
preservation, there will be no major body modifications done.
Luckily for us our chosen car has no major rust or cancer, so the need for sheet metal
repairs will be kept to a minimum. |
